There's been lots of press covering this fascinating story about women's tears and men's mojos and how they just don't mix. By this point, most of you have probably read about it in the New York Times, in the sassy online magazine The Hairpin, or you saw it on tv (See video below.)
But what must be pointed about this amazing discovery that women's tears apparently repress men's sexual desire, is that this entire research endeavor was conducted on the Weizmann campus in Rehovot, Israel which was highlighted by Israel21c.org in their coverage of the entertaining research.
Interestingly enough, my brainiac boyfriend just finished up his masters in chemistry at Weitzman, and I have to say, I'm happy that I was the one that pointed out this unique discovery to HIM and not the other way around.
Researchers claim that this find was made by accident (they were trying to identify chemicals in "emotional tears" and the only good criers to volunteer for the experiment they could find happened to be women). In fact, their study was reeeeeaaaally small, and very controlled.
I imagine that with all this press,Weizmann is going to be happy to sink more money into this new study about women's tears and men's sexual prowess. Because, if you ask me, these results seem strange... I mean, in Japan, isn't all of their Anime Porn or Hentai Porn filled with little little crying girls? Maybe girl's tears aren't the same as women's tears....
Well, we'll just have to wait to find out.
